A variety of water-based and spirit-based dyes are available in store. A range of standard colours (black, blue, red etc.) are available. Colours can also be mixed according to customer specifications.

Price depends on the quantity of dye required – dyes are sold in quantities ranging from 50ml to 2l.

Leather

A range of natural and coloured full grain, veg tan and suede are available in store. If you are unsure which type of leather is most suitable for your project, we can advise you.

Full-grain leather is characterized by its luxurious, smooth surface and it has few, if any, flaws. It is the most popular type of leather. It has not been snuffed, sanded, or buffed to remove any natural marks or imperfections from its surface.

Vegetable tanned leather (commonly referred to a veg tan) refers to the tannage, or method of tanning the cowhide into leather. It’s called “vegetable” because of the natural materials used in the tanning process like tree bark.

Suede leather has a unique feel and look among leather types. It’s the soft and fuzzy underside of hide. The suede material is made by turning leather upside down so this fuzzy side is face up

Prices depends on the size of the skin and colour of the skin

Leather off-cuts

Off-cuts are the remnant pieces of leather that are left after the main pieces have been cut off. Crafters use off-cuts for smaller projects when a project doesn’t justify a full skin. A variety of sizes and colours are available in sore.

Cotton and wax thread

Waxed thread is regular thread with a coat of wax. Waxing makes the thread stiffer, more water and mildew resistant, and less stretchy. It is typically hand sewing by crafters because they want the stitches to stand out or become a focal point. Using a heavier thread size achieves this goal because stitch visibility increases with thread size. A variety of colours are available in store.

Eyelits

The round holes used for looping shoe laces through are called eyelets. Larger eyelets are used to make holes in curtains where the curtain rod slides through. They can also be purely decorative. A Variety of sizes and styles are available in store.
